GEAR LIST
PODCAST MICS
Great starter mic. Hooks to your computer through USB so you don’t have to worry about a interface.
Blue Yeti USB Microphone
Perfect for achieving high quality audio. This does require an interface but will give you that professional sound and look.
Shure MV7 USB Microphone
This is the mic I use and an industry standard. Most podcasts, youtube channels, and radio stations use this mic. It is going to give you an incredible polished sound with tons of clarity.
Shure SM7B Vocal Dynamic Microphone
WIRELESS MICS/LAPELS
Rode Wireless GO II
Awesome wireless recorder. For the price, you can’t beat it. You can clip on to your shirt or buy a lapel that hooks in to make it more low profile. A lapel will also give you a better sound. Record into you camera, phone, or download to your computer.
(You can also upgrade to the dual channel if you intend to have two people talking)
Zoom F2-BT Lavalier Recorder
Similar to the Rode mic, but has enhanced audio. It has 32-bit floating to restrict clipping. You do have to buy a micro SD card but those are very affordable.
This thing is a beast. I just recently got this and it’s incredible. The functionality and capabilities it has is unmatched. Produces very high quality audio.
DJI Mic (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case)
COMPUTER AUDIO INTERFACE
Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface
Solid interface. All three listed would be considered intermediate but all that you would ever need. Audio interfaces can be thousands and thousands of dollars, but those cater to studios tracking multiple channels. I’ve used this and love it.
Small but mighty. This is a great company that puts out killer equipment. This little device will get the job done.
Audient EVO 4 USB Audio Interface
I love this thing. I use this for my home setup and it does the trick. A step up from the EVO and gives you great quality audio.
Audient iD4 MKII USB-C Audio Interface
Rode Rodecaster Pro II Podcast Production Console
This is great for a podcast setup. I don’t currently have a need for one but if I ever venture into a podcast of my own, this is what I would get. So many options on it that makes hosting a podcast a breeze.
GIMBALS/CAMERA STABILIZERS
A gimbal is going to be great for capturing smooth video. If you want to shoot your own walkthroughs, this will give it that cinematic look. I have used this and it worked fine for what I needed.
Hohem iSteady Mobile Plus
DJI makes amazing gear. Most drones you see are DJI. This is a great mid-range gimbal for the money.
DJI OM 5 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer
DJI Osmo Mobile 6 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer
This is what I use and I love it. Also a DJI product and would be worth spending $30 extra dollars from the OM 5. So many features on it.
LIGHTING
I have never used this product but something like this would be great for lighting your face up on the go. With different light settings, you’re able to find a tone temperature that looks best on you.
GreatLPT Cell Phone Fill Light
Sensyne 10'' Ring Light with 50'' Extendable Tripod Stand
This is a steal of a deal. I’ve never used this exact LED ring light but they are all pretty similar. This is perfect for sitting behind your desk or shooting a video inside. It’s a TikTok influencers best friend.
Godox LC500R RGB LED Light Stick Lighting
The coolest freaking light. Amazing for being on the go or attaching to a stand. This light puts off some amazing lighting. Not only does it give great natural lighting but it can also display the full spectrum of RBG colors. With different brightness levels, you can use this for all kinds of applications. Light up your background with a beautiful bright color.
Put it on the bicolor setting and set it to 5600k; that’s the color temperature of the sun and most big production lights. If you want it a little cooler to match the other lights, you’ll typically be at or around 4500 or in extremes 3200.
